DRaaS - Disaster Recovery as a Service
DRaaS allows the Customer to use the Provider’s Data Centers to be able to design and create a Disaster Recovery solution, in a VMware environment, in the face of a disaster event at the Customer’s primary datacenter.
It makes available an administration console through which the Customer can independently manage its environment: define replication modes, activate/deactivate VMs, make necessary changes, perform DR tests, and initiate operations related to the DR Plan.
The Service includes the following resources:
- Basic hardware components: include Data Centers, facilities, and all physical systems (hosts, storage, appliances) used to deliver the Service;
- Basic software components: include all software that enables the delivery of the Service (firmware, virtualization system, replication tool);
- Basic network components: include all systems (both hardware and software) suitable for data network management (cabling, LAN and SAN switches, firewalls);
- Support via Service Desk: a component of the Service that provides for the full efficiency of the Platform and a point of contact through which to request information or report malfunctions as specified in the following paragraphs.
From an economic point of view, the Service includes a baseline component, suitable for ensuring the immediate availability of all necessary resources and a variable “Pay per use” component, depending on the actual use of the individual components of the Service.
- Mitigate the risk of production downtime and the resulting economic loss that results from an IT systems fault even in the event of a catastrophic event.
- Periodically verify that the disaster recovery plan adheres to time and procedures with appropriate simulations.
- Find expertise in technology and in implementing the right business continuity infrastructure for the needs.
By preparing an organizational plan of action in advance in the event of an IT systems fault or catastrophic event, the risk of production downtime and subsequent economic loss can be mitigated.
Conduct continuous simulations to periodically verify that the disaster recovery plan adheres to time and procedures.
Limits damage caused by computer system faults.
Technology ensures the continuity of business processes according to one’s needs.
It allows you to leverage the skills of your IT team and advanced management and maintenance tools.
Plan IT spending with clear and defined costs
The service enables DR resources to be available in ZERO time, vertical and horizontal scalability, and immediate configuration.
The service rests on redundant infrastructure, Tier IV Datacenter, advanced management and maintenance tools.
